Hey! I’m Josh and I am the President of Rice Empower. I am a Sophomore majoring in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology here at Rice University. I was born in Boston, MA and my hometown is currently Delray Beach, FL. STEM Education has been a passion of mine since High School where I served as President of a Biotechnology Outreach Program that conducted enrichment biology for local 8th graders. Empower stood out to me when I came to Rice because of my background in STEM Education and now my passion is to improve STEM inspiration in underserved communities and bridge the gap between science and the community. When I am not running Empower, I love to do research, play golf, and scuba dive.
