Hi! We are Rice Empower and we are a service venture in which Rice students, physicians, and scientists channel information, inspiration, and experience to high school students, promoting and realistically portraying scientific careers.
Empower seeks to reach out to the community for the sake of achieving three main goals:
- Inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, and physicians.
- Promoting connections between science and the public.
- And portraying to all people, young or old, rich or poor, that science is something for everyone. We wish to make science accessible and show that through the advancement of science, we can solve many of the world’s problems.
To achieve these goals Empower is divided into three synchronized units:
